Colette Davidson is an American freelance writer living in Paris, where she works regularly for Radio France International, About.com Paris, Brit’Mag and The French Paper. Until December 2008, she was a reporter and editor for French News, an English-language newspaper based in Southwest France.
Over the past five years, Colette has worked as the assistant editor of the Uptown Neighborhood News in Minneapolis, and as a regular freelance writer for Twin Cities Daily Planet and Phayul. Previously, she was the editor of Contact Magazine in Mcleod Ganj, India, a content writer for a California-based marketing company and a collaborator on the Nonviolent Peaceforce newsletter.
Colette has been published in the Utne Reader, Dordogne News, Minneapolis Observer Quarterly, Korean Quarterly and other print and online publications. In between, she has taught English in India, Japan, Korea and France, and traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. Her continuing interest in multiculturalism, social justice and human rights is at the heart of her work as a journalist.
